Schaefer Families:  Who are we?

Schaefer Families is a group of adults, primarily parents, dedicated to supporting the students and faculty of Schaefer Elementary.

Any adult with a relationship to one of our students is welcome to join Schaefer Families.  This means all parents, grandparents and others within the Schaefer School community.

Schaefer Families goal is to promote the well-being of children in the home, at school and in the community; and to promote and facilitate parent, student, and teacher interaction for the benefit of Schaefer students.

What do we do?

Schaefer Families plans, organizes and staffs activities and events to benefit the students and the school community as a whole.  Many events are just for fun (such as the Costume Ball), while others are educational in nature.  We also work to support the teaching staff by offering educational activities to the students and raising funds for needed classroom supplies and events.  All of our activities are listed on the monthy Bear Bulletin that comes home as well as on the calendar on this website.

Come Join Us!

It's very simple to become part of Schaefer Families;  all you have to do is come to our monthly meetings.  We meet on the second Tuesday of the month in Room 15 at Schaefer.  Our meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and last for about 1-1½ hours.  Childcare is provided at no cost.

Schaefer Families is always looking for volunteers.  If you are interested in helping, please let us know.  We would love to have your help regardless of how much time you can give--if you have one hour, we'll take it; if you have all day, we'll take that, too!  There are many chances to help out. Take a look at our volunteer form and see where you might enjoy helping. /home/CA49708706109144/Schaefer Families/volunteer form-08.doc volunteer form-08.doc
